New computer lab for the Primary School

We kicked the year off with a newly equipped computer lab with 30 laptops.  This is the first time the Primary School has had a suitable, fully equipped computer center, which will no doubt encourage learning and provide access to a space where these young people can develop essential skills.

 

These essential skills are learned through the highly effective CAMI programs, which cater for grade R to 7 learners in the following learning areas:

• Perceptual Skills Builder for the Foundation Phase that helps grade R to 3 learners develop basic skills.

• Mathematics which is a fun and interactive educational software system that helps learners understand mathematical concepts.

• Literacy which is a complete language system that helps learners develop a love of reading.

• Reader which is a complete reading and language system that helps learners improve language fluency in both English and Afrikaans.

 

We want our learners to become interested and enthusiastic about technology and science, so this is a worthwhile investment that will benefit the school and broader community.
